Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier has had a busy afternoon.

If you missed it, the Dolphins traded the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft to the San Francisco 49ers for the No. 12 overall pick, a 2021 third-round pick and first-round picks in 2022 and 2023.

Now comes word from the Eagles that the team has traded the No. 6 pick and the No. 156 pick to the Dolphins in exchange for the No. 12 overall pick, the No. 123 overall pick and a 2022 first-round pick.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Eagles tried to trade up to No. 3 for BYU quarterback Zach Wilson. When they were unsuccessful in doing so, they wanted to back out of the top six.

Following these moves, the Dolphins now own the No. 6 and No. 18 overall selections in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Based on the early reaction following this second trade, NFL insiders seem to think the Eagles came out on top of the swap.
