One of the SEC’s best players is taking his game to the next level as Trendon Watford is leaving LSU for the 2021 NBA Draft.

The LSU forward announced the news on Wednesday.

During his two seasons in Baton Rouge, the Alabama native started 58 of his 59 appearances, averaging 14.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game for Will Wade’s LSU program.

Watford arrived rated as an elite prospect from Alabama that picked the Tigers over Alabama and Auburn. During his final appearance against an SEC opponent, Watford scored 30 in a loss to Alabama in the 2021 SEC Tournament Championship Game.
