It was the weekend of Will Frizzell in Bryan-College Station.

The Texas A&M first baseman was undoubtedly the series MVP as Texas A&M managed a series win over No. 12 Ole Miss (2-1). Frizzell hit a walk-off home run on Friday night. In Sunday’s rubber game, he hit two homers, including a go-ahead grand slam in the seventh inning of Texas A&M’s 6-5 win over the Rebels. Frizzell finished the weekend with five dingers and 11 RBI.

“I thought I really got a good swing off on the first pitch,” Frizzell said after the slam, per the team site. “For them to go right back to it, for me to be late. Just in the back of my head, I was thinking, I think they are going to go even higher right here, and if they do, I have to get to it because I’m not going to get another fastball if I don’t. It felt really good.”

Texas A&M baseball ends the series 7-17 in SEC play. If the season ended today, the Aggies would have the No. 12 seed, the last spot in the conference tournament. Auburn is 6-18 and Mizzou is 5-19. Texas A&M plays Auburn next weekend.
