Texas A&M has big expectations for the 2021 season, which gets underway Saturday night at Kyle Field.

The No. 6 Aggies are set to host Kent State, a matchup that should allow them to start the year on the right foot. Texas A&M is coming off its best season of the Jimbo Fisher era thus far, as it went 9-1 last year and capped the season with an Orange Bowl victory.

But it’s now a new year, and Texas A&M will need to get rolling again early in the season to establish momentum.

Not only are the Aggies surely excited to open the year, but they’re also celebrating Labor Day weekend in College Station. On Friday, they revealed their field design for the season opener, and they used patriotic paint to decorate their end zones and midfield logo as part of their “Red, White and Blue Out.” And it’s looking great:

This isn’t the first time that Texas A&M will be hosting a “Red, White and Blue Out.” One also took place in 2001, following the tragic events of Sept. 11. All fans will be wearing either a red, white or blue shirt, depending on where they are sitting.

Texas A&M and Kent State are set to kick off on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
