Tim Tebow and Stephen A. Smith made a friendly Florida-Alabama wager during the Gator great’s Friday appearance on “First Take.” If UF keeps it close, Smith will sport a Florida tie.

This will be both team’s first SEC conference game of the season, with these two undefeated teams facing off in The Swamp.

Smith stated that he is skeptical about Florida’s chances after seeing how the quarterbacks have played so far against FAU and USF.

“I see Emory Jones here,” said Smith. “Didn’t he throw f4 interceptions already in the first 2 games against those dudes? You got Anthony Richardson, now he can run the football – 275 rushing yards in the first two games, I’ll give him his props. Jacob Copeland, he looks alright. But they’re going up against Alabama. They’re gonna get mopped. They’re gonna get destroyed.”

Smith then went on to mention who the Crimson Tide have they could tilt the game in their favor.

“At the end of the day,” said Smith. “You’ve got Bryce Young. I’m looking at Brian Robinson Jr. I’m looking at John Metchie. Don’t get me started on Jameson Williams. They’re gonna drop another 50. The difference is, ya’ll won’t get nowhere near 46. Florida, I wish you nothing but the best. I like your school, love the history. You’re gonna win a few games after you lose Saturday.”

Smith predicts a blowout by at least three touchdowns. Tebow is confident that it will be a much closer game than that and proposed a bet between the two.

“So if Florida is closer than that, how about next Friday you rock a Gator tie?” asked Tebow.

Smith accepted.

“Rock a Gator tie? Done! It’s not a problem.” said Smith.
