Matt Corral seemingly poses the biggest threat to Alabama from a quarterback standpoint this far into the season.

While the Ole Miss QB and the Rebels are off this week, Corral shared some insight into his mindset ahead of playing Alabama next week. Corral was a guest with CBS Sports’ Adam Zucker and Rick Neuheisel on “Inside College Football.”

“I’ve said this in other interviews and I’m going to keep saying it: It’s never about who we play. Ever,” Corral said, per Bama Online. “No matter how good the opponent is, no matter how less of the opponent is, it’s always about how we prepare coming up to that week. Again, it’s all about what we’re doing in the building every single day leading up to that game.”

Corral remembers the last time Ole Miss beat Alabama. It was 2015 and a key play happened when Chad Kelly completed a deflected pass to Quincy Adeboyejo for a 66-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter.

“I remember that. I remember seeing the play where Chad threw the ball and it got bounced up and then caught for a touchdown,” Corral said. “I was in BJ’s having dinner with teammates. It’s crazy. It’s one of those things.”
