Najee Harris is off to a solid start as an NFL rookie with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and one valuable stat can explain why.

Against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Harris’ 79 offensive snaps were the most for a rookie RB in a game since 2007, according to Nathan Jahnke of Pro Football Focus. Pierre Thomas had 82 for the Saints in 2007 Week 17.

Harris and the Steelers fell to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, 24-10, as he rushed 14 times for 40 yards, with a long of 20 yards. He also led the team in catches and receiving yards with 14 grabs for 102 yards on an eye-popping 19 targets.

Harris overall this season has played in 3 games with 40 carries and 123 yards. He’s made 20 catches for 149 yards and his only touchdown so far.
