Ed Orgeron and LSU lost to Auburn 24-19 Saturday night. It was the first time that Auburn beat LSU in Death Valley since 1999.

That’s before Auburn quarterback Bo Nix was even born.

LSU has no running game, and it couldn’t tackle Auburn’s quarterback, who made a few spectacular plays to help lift the Tigers to the stunning victory.

Orgeron’s offense rushed for just 33 yards in the loss.

LSU is now 8-7 since it won a national championship with Joe Burrow and company, and things aren’t going well. LSU is now 3-2 on the season overall and 1-1 in the SEC.

Following the loss to Auburn, Orgeron was asked about the struggles since winning the national title during the 2019 season.

“I take it one day at a time,” Orgeron said. “I don’t look at it like that. It’s just about getting better one game at a time.”

Things don’t get any easier for Orgeron and LSU either. The Tigers play at Kentucky, host Florida, at Ole Miss, at Alabama and host Arkansas over the next 5 games.
