Mark Stoops saw this coming out of QB Will Levis, and so he’s not surprised that the Kentucky quarterback is rounding into form.

On his radio show on Monday evening, Stoops shared what’s evolved about Levis’ game, and how it’s impacted the rest of the team.

“It was just a matter of time before it clicks with him because I really had a lot of faith in him, our team did and he had a lot of confidence,” Stoops said. “He just needed some reps and I see him getting better and better and he had a really good day today. I think our team can really rally around that as well and I think going back, touching on last week, it was one of the better bye weeks we’ve had. Guys were really moving around and really concentrating on ourselves and just trying to get better and that’s what good teams do.”

Levis is No. 9 in the SEC in passing with 189 yards per game, and has completed 67 percent of his passes for 1,326 yards this season, with 13 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.

The Cats play Mississippi State this week.
