Kirby Smart joined in on the Atlanta Braves celebration after the Braves won the World Series on Tuesday night with a 7-0 victory over the Houston Astros on Tuesday night in Game 6 to clinch the series, 4 games to 2.

Max Fried threw 6 strong innings in a memorable pitching performance to seal the victory. Smart has followed the Braves’ recent success, and offered his congratulations earlier in the season as they marched to the World Series.

Jorge Soler, a July acquisition who tested positive for the coronavirus in the playoffs, launched a mammoth 3-run shot for his third homer against the Astros. It went completely out of Minute Maid Park and Soler was named the World Series MVP.

So Smart Wednesday morning offered an open invitation to Blooper, the Braves mascot, and other Braves to come celebrate in Athens on Saturday as the Bulldogs take on Missouri in a noon game.
