Nick Evers has had a busy few weeks since Dan Mullen was fired at Florida, and the former Gators commitment has now announced his new school.

Evers shared on social media that he has committed to Oklahoma, and is the first commit for new coach Brent Venables, the former Clemson defensive coordinator. Evers was also recruited by former Ole Miss offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby.

Evers is a 6-foot-3, 188-pound recruit out of Flower Mound, Texas. He is the No. 10 quarterback in the class of 2022, and the No. 23 player in the state of Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite. Evers originally committed to Florida in March. After Mullen was fired, Evers said he committed to Florida for more than football, and stayed with his pledge.

Then Evers’ father tweeted a long note following the first meeting with new coach Billy Napier when he said the “chemistry was not there.”
