Bo Nix has announced his new team, and it’s one that his career arc was launched in his first year at Auburn.

Nix announced on Instagram that he will transfer to Oregon only days after he graduated from Auburn, and a week since he announced he would enter the transfer portal.

Before he suffered a season-ending ankle injury, Nix was one of the more durable players around, especially at quarterback as he made 34 straight starts for Auburn.

Nix joins an Oregon program that will be lead by newly hired head coach Dan Lanning, the former Georgia defensive coordinator who is staying on to coach the Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff. Lanning’s first hire was Kenny Dillingham as its new offensive coordinator after they worked together at Memphis in 2016-17.

Nix in 2019 threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Seth Williams with 9 seconds remaining to lift the Tigers to a 27-21 win over Oregon in Arlington, Texas. It was one of several memorable plays for Nix as an Auburn Tiger.

Dillingham was an offensive assistant at Auburn in 2019.
