Nick Saban’s No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide squad has had a long day of waiting for kickoff of Monday night’s National Championship game.

Saban’s squad has arrived at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis ahead of the 8 p.m. ET kickoff. ESPN’s Holly Rowe asked Saban what he’s been doing all day.

“Watching the Weather Channel, waiting to get to the game,” Saban told Rowe. “It’s been a long day, no doubt. Hopefully, the players are able to stay focused. They probably handle it a little better than us old folks do.”

Saban is, of course, familiar with playing in national championship games, late kicks and all. Going back to his LSU days, Saban has coached in 9 national championship games. We’ll see how his team fares in No. 10.
