It has been a busy day of NFL Draft declarations from the national champions. Zamir White got the Georgia draft announcements started Friday before his teammates Lewis Cine, Nakobe Dean and George Pickens followed. Travon Walker and Jamaree Salyer can officially be added to the list of Dawgs departing for the draft.

A defensive lineman, Walker posted multiple career-highs in 2021: 5 tackles against Kentucky, 2 tackles for loss against Missouri and 7 quarterback pressures against Alabama. He started all 15 games at defensive tackle, recording 37 tackles, including 7.5 for loss and 6 sacks. Walker led the team with 36 QB hurries.

In 36 games over his 3-year career, Walker totaled 65 tackles (13 TFL), 9.5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.

Salyer played 47 games over 4 seasons with the Bulldogs, due to the NCAA’s COVID waiver for 2020, he had the option to return for a fifth year as “super senior.” The Atlanta native out of Pace Academy was named second-team All-SEC by the Associated Press and conference coaches. He also received second-team All-American recognition from the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

Salyer made his first NFL paycheck plans clear, tweeting “Time to get momma that house” with his announcement note.
