Mississippi State is beefing up its offensive line via the transfer portal with the program officially adding Steven Losoya III out of Middle Tennessee State on Wednesday.

Originally a 3-star prospect out of Nashville, Tennessee, Losoya joined the Blue Raiders via the 2019 recruiting class. Now, he’s on his way to Starkville to suit up for head coach Mike Leach.

Losoya saw action right away as a true freshman at MTSU. He appeared in 3 games while retaining a redshirt in 2019. For the 2020 season, Losoya was named to the C-USA All-Freshman team after appearing in 7 games with 3 starts.

Losoya began to blossom in 2021, making 11 starts and appearing in all 13 games for the Blue Raiders. He finished third on the team’s group of offensive linemen with 790 snaps played, graded out as a winner 9 times, and was the team’s Offensive Lineman of the Week 3 times.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 305 lbs., Losoya should be a solid addition for the Bulldogs.
