Jaxson Dart has been rumored to be headed to Ole Miss, and now the latest piece of the story is that he was reportedly admitted to Ole Miss as a student.

The reporting came from The Grove Report and Sports Illustrated’s Fan Nation, which noted that Dart participated in 6 games for USC in 2021, and passed for 1,353 yards and 9 touchdowns. The 247Sports Crystal Ball has pegged Dart to Ole Miss and recruiting expert Chris Hummer reported that the Rebels are in good shape to land Dart. What’s more, On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine currently lists Ole Miss as a runaway favorite, with Lane Kiffin’s Rebels receiving a 98.4% chance of landing the coveted quarterback.

Ole Miss has courted numerous quarterbacks out of the portal this offseason, and although Dart has not officially announced his decision, it appears that he may be an Ole Miss Rebel. Ole Miss has also been tied to Oklahoma transfer Caleb Williams out of the portal, but Williams has yet to announce a decision on his school of choice. And Lane Kiffin reportedly recently met with Georgia transfer JT Daniels in Athens.

Dart had an incredible debut for a USC quarterback, as he stepped in to throw for 391 yards and 4 touchdowns in a road win at Washington State. But, he also tore his meniscus, and needed surgery that kept him out until late October.

Dart overall appeared in 6 games for the Trojans in 2021, throwing for 1,353 yards, 9 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.
