Matthew Stafford, 13 former SEC players help Los Angeles Rams win Super Bowl LVI
Matthew Stafford and 13 former SEC players helped the Los Angeles Rams capture Super Bowl LVI over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night.
Aaron Donald, the Rams’ defensive star, made a late pressure on Joe Burrow on fourth down and forced a pass to fall incomplete.
Stafford engineered a 15-play drive that covered 79 yards in 4:48 and eventually found Cooper Kupp for a 1-yard touchdown pass to give the Rams a 23-20 victory. Donald’s pressure then sealed the victory as Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and the Bengals will look to next season.
Kupp had 4 catches for 39 yards on that drive, including the last 3. He also had a key 7-yard run off right end on fourth-and-1 from the LA 30-yard line.
On that decisive drive, Stafford completed 7 of 11 for 57 yards.
