On Tuesday, the NFL had its first cut-down day.

On the Tuesday after each preseason week, teams are required to trim their rosters. They trim five players in Week 1 and Week 2, going from 90 to 85 and the final cut down is 27 players to get rosters to 53.

It is common to trade players for late-round draft picks, as you get an asset over losing a player for nothing.

The Las Vegas Raiders did just that, trading 2021 fourth-round pick safety Tyree Gillespie to the Tennessee Titans for a conditional 2024 seventh-round pick.

Gillespie was a star for the Missouri Tigers before joining the Raiders. He appeared in 12 games for Las Vegas, including their playoff game and recorded eight tackles.

To make room for Gillespie, the Titans waived TE Briley Moore.
