Quinnen Williams, starting defensive tackle for the New York Jets, gets Nickelodeon’s orange blimp trophy for being Week 6’s Valuable Player. During a casual interview, Williams’ teammates celebrated his performance by unexpectedly dumping a few buckets of slime on his head.

Williams has an outstanding game against Green Bay with 5 total tackles, 4 solo-tackles, 2 sacks and one stuff. During his time with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Williams was able to earn a first round draft spot as the third choice in 2019 where he was taken by the Jets.

The Nickelodeon Valuable Player award is voted on by the fans and is part of their effort to provide football coverage for a younger audience. During the 2021 season, the NVP would be awarded weekly on the “NFL Slimetime” show on Wednesday nights.

Williams took it in stride with a smile on his face and couldn’t help but chuckle while holding his trophy in one hand and cut out of his face in the other.
