Nick Saban was criticized in the first half of Alabama’s game with Mississippi State after Jermaine Burton caught his first pass, a 23-yarder.

Burton last week was caught on video allegedly striking a woman who rushed the field at Tennessee after the Vols knocked off Alabama. Saban released a statement during the week, and said, “We are aware of the situation with Jermaine Burton as he was exiting the field Saturday. We are currently working to gather more information,” Saban said.

ESPN’s Chris Fowler addressed the issue during the broadcast and added that Burton is working with anger-management counselors and Saban hopes Burton will learn to control his emotions better. Fowler cited Burton’s retaliation penalty against Texas A&M in addition to the post-Tennessee incident.
