Kirby Smart shared the latest about Nolan Smith following a serious injury to the star linebacker in Saturday’s win over Florida.

At his Monday press conference, Smart said Smith suffered a pectoral muscle injury, and while Georgia did an MRI on the injury, the medical staff is still getting opinions about the issue.

“It does not look good,” Smart said. “He’s probably doubtful for this week.”

After the game, Smart said it appeared Smith suffered a separated shoulder after he left the game in the first half. Smith made 2 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and had 1 quarterback hurry in the game.

Along with being a vocal leader for the Bulldogs, is a key player on the field as he leads Georgia with 3 sacks, and has 18 tackles and a team-high 7 tackles for a loss. He’s started all 8 games, and also has a team-high 18 quarterback hurries.
