Jaheim Bell had an interesting year for the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2022.

After breaking out in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl last year, making 5 catches for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns, it seemed the Gamecocks forgot about him at times this year.

He was frustrated throughout the season, as coaches continued to insist he needed to be a bigger part of the game plan but never seemed to follow through with that.

Now it appears Bell will explore his options for the 2023 season. He took to Twitter on Monday night to reveal he was entering the transfer portal:

Bell finished the 2022 season with 25 catches for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 73 times for 261 yards and 3 scores.

Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but based on the flashes of brilliance Bell has shown in his career, he’s likely to draw significant interest in the portal.

South Carolina lost fellow TE Austin Stogner to the portal earlier on Monday.
