South Carolina added a 2024 offensive lineman to its recruiting class on Wednesday.

The Gamecocks earned a commitment from 3-star offensive tackle Mike Williams. He had offers from programs like Florida, Tennessee, Michigan State and others.

Here’s his announcement:

Williams is a big-time addition for the Gamecocks in the class of 2024. He’s currently ranked as the No. 91 offensive tackle in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He’s listed at 6-foot-6, 325 pounds, which gives him an elite frame for the tackle position. He attends Charles Herbert Flowers High School in Baltimore, Maryland.

Williams is South Carolina’s 2nd commitment of the day. The Gamecocks also earned a pledge from Kelvin Hunter on Wednesday. Coach Shane Beamer acknowledged the additions on Twitter:

South Carolina is now up to 9 commitments in the class of 2024. Five of those commitments, including Hunter, are from the state of South Carolina.

Thanks to the new additions, South Carolina’s class now ranks No. 7 nationally per 247Sports Composite rankings.
