The Alabama Crimson Tide are set to lose another standout player to the transfer portal. Per reports, star tight end Amari Niblack is set to enter the portal.

Niblack had 20 catches for 327 yards last season with 4 touchdowns. If Niblack follows through on transferring, it means Alabama’s top 3 receivers from 2023 will all be playing elsewhere in 2024. Jermaine Burton is entering the 2024 NFL Draft, while Isaiah Bond is transferring to Texas and Niblack appears set to go elsewhere as well.

A 4-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite ranking, Niblack was rated as the No. 5 athlete and the No. 17 player out of Florida in the 2022 class. The talented pass catcher starred for Lakewood High School in Clearwater, FL. Coming out of high school, Niblack chose the Tide over Florida, FIU, Boston College, and others.

Niblack is the latest portal departure at Alabama. The aforementioned Bond, along with Roydell Williams, Ja’Corey Brooks, and Ian Jackson are among the notable names to leave Tuscaloosa. It will be interesting to see if new head coach Kalen DeBoer can help replenish the lost talent.
