After Alabama mopped the floor with LSU on Saturday night, the Tigers will likely fall out of the top four of the College Football Playoff rankings.

When the rankings are released on Tuesday night, the likely top-four teams are Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame and Michigan. On Sunday morning, Alabama opened as a hypothetical 8.5-point favorite against Clemson.

According to BetOnline.ag, the Tide would be favored by at least two touchdowns against both Michigan and Notre Dame:

  • Alabama -14 over Michigan
  • Alabama -20.5 over Notre Dame

There’s still work to be done for all of these teams before the Playoff rolls around, but it’s clear how much respect the Tide are getting from oddsmakers.

We’ll see what happens in the coming weeks, but those numbers don’t seem that crazy at the moment.
