A day after showing off his offseason workout regimen, Eddie Lacy has successfully made yet another weigh-in incentive after signing with the Seahawks during the NFL’s latest free agency period.

The former Alabama back left Green Bay after four seasons when the Packers decided against resigning their second-round pick from the 2013 NFL Draft. Lacy’s struggles with his weight were a constant theme of his time in Green Bay. After breaking out his first two NFL seasons, Lacy had over 2,200 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns during that time, he rushed for just three touchdowns and 1,011 total yards his finish two years with the Packers.

Lacy arrived much heavier for his third NFL season and never managed to regain his early career shape or production with the Packers.

Seattle is giving Lacy another chance to redeem himself in the NFL with the caveat of several much-publicised weight clauses into his contract. Monday’s weigh-in was the second such clause Lacy has faced thus far, and the second he has passed.

Check out the response to this tweet from Lacy’s sports management team at SportsTrust Advisors:

With Marshawn Lynch coming out of retirement and playing for the Raiders in 2017, Lacy has the added challenge of replacing not only an active player but one of Seattle’s most beloved players in franchise history. Should Lacy continue to show progress off the field this offseason and keep his weight in check, it’s a good bet that the bruising back makes a big splash in Seattle this season.

If Lacy does have a big year in the Northwest, Seahawks fans would be wise to break from tradition and not throw Skittles at their running back — candy apparently isn’t in his diet these days.
