Edric Hill is headed to Tuscaloosa. The blue-chip defensive lineman out of Kansas City announced his pledge to Alabama on Monday.

Hill, a 4-star prospect, chose the Crimson Tide over fellow finalists LSU, Mizzou, Oklahoma, Oregon and USC. Hill made the announcement on his Instagram account.

A North Kansas City standout, Hill is listed at 6-3, 290 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Hill is rated 4-stars, the No. 7 Missouri recruit, No. 27 defensive lineman and No. 183 prospect overall nationally.

Hill has picked up 23 scholarship offers during his recruitment. In June, he visited Alabama, LSU and USC.

Hill is commitment No. 21 in Alabama’s 2023 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 1 nationally. The 247Sports scouting report on Hill notes that he “has explosiveness and quickness off the ball as well as pursuit speed, which he has verified in a camp setting,” adding that he’s “disruptive and gets up field in a hurry.” Those traits can be seen in his Hudl junior-season highlight compilation, embedded below:
