Nate Oats says that it’s up to Nick Pringle if he returns to the court for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Pringle’s suspension was revealed on the SEC Network broadcast of Alabama’s 85-76 come-from-behind win at Georgia on Wednesday night. Oats did not offer many details but made sure to note that the suspension was not for anything “bad” off the court.

“He’s currently suspended,” Oats said of Pringle to reporters after the game. “He’s got to decide whether he wants to be part of this program or not. Some of his decisions, how he conducts himself, nothing bad off the court or anything like that. In practice, in games. We’ll see where he goes. We’ll meet when I get back.”

The 6-10 forward is in his second season with the Tide after transferring from Dodge City Community College. Pringle, a senior, has averaged 5.2 points in 15.8 minutes per game over 19 appearances, including 11 starts. Pringle played in 36 games in Alabama’s 2022-23 season.

No. 24 Alabama is 15-6 and on top of the SEC standings with a 7-1 mark in conference play. The Crimson Tide host Mississippi State on Saturday. We’ll see if Pringle’s status has changed by tip-off.
