Now that Nick Saban has won another National Championship and is sitting on the top of college football (again), he’ll find another challenge, right?

Well, no, according to ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit.

Herbstreit, who called the Alabama-Georgia game, joined ESPN Radio Tuesday morning, and he was asked about NFL teams at least calling Nick Saban to see how interested he may be. Herbstreit, among other things, said that Saban is happy at Alabama, but he did dive into what could be “an itch” he could need to scratch in the future.

“His next step, to me, will be in the media,” Herbstreit said. “I think he’ll either be sitting on College GameDay, or I think he’ll be calling games. I think that’s an itch for him potentially down the road.

“I think he really enjoys when he comes on our show, almost like a little boy. You know, when he comes on and gets a chance to do it, he’ll get done with his segment and say, ‘What do you think? How’d that go? How was that? Think it was OK?'”

Can you see Saban on College GameDay in the future? No doubt he’d give great insight.

But for now, he’s got Alabama’s program on autopilot and returning a ridiculous amount of talent in 2018.
