Ryan Williams reassured Alabama fans last week when he recommitted to the Crimson Tide following a decommitment after Nick Saban’s retirement.

Williams reflected on what brought him back to Alabama and DeBoer after he became the first back-to-back Mr. Football winner in the state of Alabama. The 5-star wide receiver from Saraland led his team to back-to-back Class 6A state title games, and scored 4 touchdowns in each one.

After the honor, Williams reflected on what appealed to him about DeBoer. Williams is expected to sign with the Crimson Tide next week and report this summer to Tuscaloosa.

“Just talking to him, he’s the most down to earth, humble coach I’ve ever talked to,” Williams said. “I wouldn’t want to play for any other head coach, other than Coach Saban.”

On the 247Sports Composite, Williams is the No. 2 player in the state of Alabama, No. 3 wide receiver and No. 4 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.
