For Arkansas, two is better than one. Not long after landing former Louisiana Tech DT Keivie Rose, the Razorbacks added another player from the transfer portal.

The newest Hog commitment comes from A.J. Brathwaite Jr. The former Western Kentucky defensive back had initially committed to FIU, but tweeted Saturday that he will continue his career playing for Sam Pittman’s program.

Brathwaite heads to Arkansas as a graduate transfer after 5 seasons at Western Kentucky. Brathwaite used a redshirt for the 2018 season and gets a do-over for the 2020 season with the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver.

Over his career, Brathwaite played in 48 games. He was a 12-game starter in 2021, recording the fourth-most tackles for WKU on the year with 64, including 2 TFL and 1 sack. Last season, Brathwaite only made 8 appearances due to injury, including 2 starts. He logged 17 tackles, including 1 for loss.
