John Bol is out with his top 8, and the 7-foot-1 5-star recruit out of Wichita, Kansas (Sunrise Christian), has a pair of SEC teams still in the running.

Bol listed Florida and Missouri among Wake Forest, Michigan, Texas, UConn, Southern Cal and Overtime Elite. Bol is rated the No. 22 player in the country in the Class of 2024, the No. 4 center and the No. 1 player in the state of Kansas, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Bol originally came to the St. Louis area from his native South Sudan. He told KSDK that he got his height from his great-great-grandfather, who was 8-foot-1. Christian Brothers College High School coach Justin Tatum said Bol averaged nearly a triple double in his first high school season in the U.S.

He also speaks 5 languages and had a 4.0 grade-point-average in school.

His first love was soccer, but now he wants to get to the next level of basketball. After all, he reached 7-foot before he was 15.

Bol has already come a long way since he’s only played basketball for 5 years.
