I don't know, having more time to think about it, when they blew the play dead when we had hit our WR on a go route with no one in front of him because we "didn't give them time to substitute." Their player who they "didnt have time to substitute" had been standing in front of said WR for 5 seconds but just wasn't paying attention. That one was pretty bad. Between the two plays I mentioned, the refs were able to give BYU a 10 point swing.
The big12 ref crew refused to let BYU lose this game. The most egregious one was the fake field goal. They faked a field goal, didn't get it, then after the play they through a flag saying the offense delayed the game. So the moved the ball back 5 yards and let them kick it. A delay of game is supposed to stop play. Then they get back from commercial and show the replay. The play clock is at 1 second as the snap is in the air. Not to mention the several times they would through a flag amd them pick it up without a call if the play went BYU's way. I was irate the whole game. I am not saying we are great, I am not saying we shouldn't have played better, but it is hard to build any momentum when the refs are making it up as they go. I think the 2020 Auburn game was officiated better.
You have my vote for comment of the year. This man speaks the truth.
I would agree with that but I might be a little biased. I am so excited to see what KJ can do this year. I am glad we have Enos as OC. He really understands the position and always gets the most out of his QB's. Chriswell also looked good when he got into the game. We would have won a few more games last year if we had a competent backup, it looks like we won't have that problem this year.
I am truly excited to see this revamped defense. We have gotten a lot of good pieces out of the portal. If we can have a top 5 SEC defense with this offense it is going to be a special year.
You have no clue dude. KJ is a legit dual threat. He is as good a passer as he is a runner. He has good arm strength, acceracy and a nice touch that makes his passes easy to catch. He passed for more yards and touchdowns last year despite being out for 2 games and way banged up for a third. Also Enos isn't going to call a RPO every play like our last OC.
Yeah we are only going to play 6 games. You're just upset he won't be a gator...
You know, it is fans like you that make me believe, that even though this seems excessive, yall probably deserve it.
Be still my beating heart. Quarterback is by far our biggest need. If this were to happen there could be a night and day difference between year one and year two.
I agree 100%. All the rule changes they have made have ruined college basketball. It is a foul to play defense of any kind. And now they want cheapen baseball in the same way. The problem is having rules committees that sit around all off season trying to "improve" the game and put their own stamp on it. But what you are left with is a vastly infirior product. Let the rules be the rules so that future generations can actually play the same game that has been played for the past 150 years instead of a watered down version that is baseball in name only.
