There is a chance the Florida Gators could be without running back Trevor Etienne in their upcoming matchup against the Vanderbilt Commodores.

When the team released its latest injury report ahead of the upcoming game against the Vanderbilt Commodores, Etienne was listed as questionable with an upper-body injury. This is the first time of the season he’s been listed on the report, one of the most significant additions on top of left tackle Austin Barber.

Others questionable names on the report included wide receiver Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman (lower body), tight end Dante Zanders (lower body), offensive lineman Kingsley Eguakun and defensive back Miguel Mitchell (lower body).

Wide receiver Caleb Douglas (lower body), tight end Jonathan Odom and linebacker Ja’Markis Weston have already been ruled out ahead of the in-conference meeting.

Here’s a look at the full report from the Gators:

To this point in the year, Etienne has rushed for 358 yards with an average of 6 yards per carry. He also had 2 TDs in 2023.

While other running backs down the depth chart will assist in carrying the load of Etienne’s absence if he is indeed unable to take the field, Montrell Johnson Jr., who has rushed for 253 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, is expected to get the majority of the carries.
