Florida has seen a pair of experienced contributors decide to enter the NCAA transfer portal on back-to-back days.

Veteran edge defender Antwaun Powell-Ryland Jr. took to Twitter on Friday to announce his decision to explore transfer options in the portal.

Powell-Ryland has been with the program since 2020. After playing in 2 games and taking a redshirt for the 2020 season, he played in 25 games over 2021 and ’22.

Last season, Powell-Ryland appeared in all 13 games, making 5 starts. He recorded 29 tackles, including 6 for loss and 3 sacks, along with 3 forced fumbles.

Saturday, Florida saw Xzavier Henderson, who started 11 games in 2022, enter the portal. Jacob Rudner of 247Sports was first to report Henderson’s entry.

In 2022, Henderson led the Gators in catches with 38. He was third on the team in receiving yards with 410. His 2 touchdowns tied for third.

Henderson, the younger brother of former Florida CB CJ Henderson, was a top-100 prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. In 3 seasons, Xzavier Henderson made 35 appearances for the Gators (73 catches, 835 yards, 5 TD).

Earlier this month, offensive lineman David Conner left the Gators with plans to enter the transfer portal.
