The Georgia-Georgia Tech rivalry is known as “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate,” but on Sunday, a former Yellow Jackets coach had a message of support for a Bulldogs legend.

This weekend, it was announced that Vince Dooley is in the hospital dealing with a mild case of COVID-19. Bill Curry took to social media to offer his support and well wishes to his former coaching rival.

Dooley, who turned 90 in September, was Georgia’s head coach from 1964-to-1988. Curry, 79, got his start in coaching as a Georgia Tech assistant in 1976. After 3 seasons as an assistant with the Green Bay Packers, Curry returned to Georgia Tech to be the Yellow Jackets head coach from 1980-to-1986. Curry went to coach Alabama (1987-89), Kentucky (1990-96) and Georgia State (2010-12).
