Carson Beck went to the podium on Wednesday and was asked what it was like sticking things out when it came to the starting QB job. Beck was announced as the starter by Kirby Smart on Saturday.

One of the first things Beck started talking about in regard to sticking around at Georgia was the comradery with his teammates.

“My answer to that is the comradery we have, the connection that we have at Georgia is unmatched. Obviously, I can’t compare it to other places because I haven’t been anywhere else. From people who have been to other places it’s something that we strive to have, and I think that’s one of the biggest things that kept me here.”

Beck was also asked about handling pressure. His response to that involved taking things one day at a time.

“I think each and every one of us has our own pressures and pressures to fulfill and whatnot, but I think the only I can do is try to be myself every single day and try to win each and every single day. We had practice today, so I’ll just go out there and focus on the reps that I have, each individual play and see what I can do the best and we’ll move to the next day here on out.”

Wednesday was Beck’s first time at the podium as QB1. Fans will be hoping it’ll be the first of many.
