Cash Jones will return to Athens for another season in 2025 after his best season yet in college football, he announced on Instagram Thursday.
Jones is a Bulldogs running back that did most of his damage as a pass-catcher. Georgia took advantage of Jones’ abilities in space and he finished the season with 24 receptions for 275 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also rushed for 27 yards and a touchdown – bringing his Georgia rushing total to 238 yards on 39 carries across 4 seasons.
Most of Jones’ production came later in the season, and he caught a touchdown pass against Notre Dame in the 2nd round of the College Football Playoff.
Jones will be entering next season without Carson Beck, who also made an announcement on Thursday – that he will step away from the Georgia program and enter the transfer portal.
Jones’ announcement that he will return is a big one for Georgia fans. So far, 12 Bulldogs have declared for the NFL Draft and 11 players have entered the transfer portal.
That portal door swings both ways, however. Jones is just one threat in the passing game for next season – he joins USC transfer Zachariah Branch and Texas A&M transfer Noah Thomas.
