Georgia is on the cusp of joining some of the longest winning streaks in SEC history. The Bulldogs get their next chance to extend their current 19-game winning streak at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday on CBS in the first “SEC on CBS” game with Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Jenny Dell on the call.

Georgia’s previous loss was against Alabama in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 4, 2021 in Atlanta. The Bulldogs went on to beat Michigan in the College Football Playoff semifinal, and then Alabama in the national championship in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Georgia then went 15-0 last season, and has started 2-0 this season with wins over UT-Martin and Ball State.

Georgia has won 3 straight against the Gamecocks, and before South Carolina’s 2019 victory in Athens, the Bulldogs won 4 straight in the series.

Earlier this week, Kirby Smart discussed what he saw in Shane Beamer when Smart hired Beamer as an assistant at Georgia. Beamer also reflected on what he learned from Smart since he was on staff since Day 1 of Smart’s head coaching tenure in Athens. Beamer also shared that his lasting memory as a Georgia assistant was that Tyler Simmons was onsides during the 2017 national championship game, a sentiment that no doubt warms the heart of Georgia fans.

Crowd noise has also been a topic of conversation this week, and it stemmed from Tonka Hemingway’s SEC Media Days comments that Texas A&M’s Kyle Field, and Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium are the loudest he’s played in across the SEC. Beamer expects a “rocking environment,” while Smart suggested that Hemingway has called out the Georgia fans.

Here are the longest winning streaks in SEC history:
