Mark Stoops on offensive struggles in blowout loss to Tennessee: 'It's not good enough'
Mark Stoops and the No. 19 Kentucky Wildcats were blown out at Neyland Stadium by No. 3 Tennessee on Saturday night, 44-6.
It was a bad night for the Wildcats in every facet of the game, as they didn’t challenge the Vols much from the opening kickoff on.
After the game, Stoops had plenty to say about his team’s performance. Here’s some of what he had to say in his postgame press conference:
On Tennessee being the better team:
“We got beat by a better football team, we got beat in every area.”

On the offensive struggles:
Mark Stoops on the state of the Kentucky offense:
“Obviously, again, it’s not good enough. It’s too inconsistent at times.
"You have no chance to beat Tennessee if you have 200 yards of offense."

On bouncing back from a tough loss:
Stoops: “I told the team if you’re gonna be in this league you’re gonna have tough losses.”
Says the team has to respond. Last time they lost, one turned into two.

Stoops: On approach with SEC East officially out of reach will be no different.
"The last time we lost a game one became two."
"Gotta get back to work. There's no hiding. It is what it is."

Can the Wildcats turn things around next weekend? They’ll head to Columbia to face a Mizzou squad that is coming off a convincing win at South Carolina.
