FSU coach Jimbo Fisher is used to dealing with media’s questions about the rumors attaching him to the LSU job as he’s reported to be the school’s top target for the second year in a row. On his Wednesday radio show, Fisher dealt with questions from Seminoles fans about the LSU rumors.

One of Fisher’s answers seemed to hint that an announcement is coming soon, and Florida State fans will be pleased. Orlando Sentinel reporter Safid Deen observed the following:

About 20 minutes later, a young fan bashfully asked if Fisher was going to return as Florida State’s coach next season.

“Listen, I love it here. I really do,” Fisher said while flashing a huge grin. “So just be patient. We’re good.”

Fans will interpret Fisher’s response various ways. Some of the LSU faithful will point to the lack of a definitive answer as a positive. Others will see it as Fisher reassuring the Seminoles fans that he’ll be in Tallahassee next season and beyond.

The LSU rumor will is unlikely to slow down until the Tigers announce the next full-time head coach, which is expected to come between Sunday and Wednesday.
