LSU is among the teams that has made a turnaround in 2022, with some questions surrounding it after the Tigers dropped their first game of the Brian Kelly era with a 24-23 loss to the Florida State Seminoles.

The team now is on a hot streak and sits atop the SEC West at 8-2 with a victory over Alabama and Ole Miss to serve as the tiebreaker in the mix of 8-2 teams.

College football analyst Matt Barrie had high praise for the progress the team has made and the trajectory it is on now.

“The first team to clinch a spot in the SEC Championship game this year wasn’t Alabama… It was LSU,” Barrie said. “With Brian Kelly, first-year head coach. Program depleted with transfers. They bring in (quarterback) Jayden Daniels from Arizona State.. They got their doors beat in by Tennessee, but then they beat Alabama.”

The remainder of LSU’s season will be one to watch as the Tigers finish out with UAB, Texas A&M and No. 1 Georgia.
