Michigan reportedly received information from the NCAA that led to linebackers coach Chris Partridge’s firing on Friday.

Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger reported Friday that the NCAA provided damaging evidence to Michigan on Friday that ultimately led Michigan to part ways with Partridge.

According to the report, the NCAA presented evidence that pointed to a Michigan booster named “Uncle T,” who partially funded the sign-stealing scheme. With that evidence, the NCAA also provided evidence that Partridge was responsible for attempting to destroy computer evidence.

The evidence presented to Michigan this week has seemed to alter its approach to the investigation. Last week, Michigan had attempted to file a temporary restraining order to hold off Jim Harbaugh’s punishment from the Big Ten. On Thursday, Michigan accepted Harbaugh’s 3-game suspension. Now Michigan has fired another member of its staff after firing Connor Stalions last week.

Michigan will play its second of 3 games without Harbaugh on Saturday as it takes on Maryland. After that, the Wolverines will close out the season against Ohio State.
