The Egg Bowl is only played once a year, but it’s a year-round rivalry on the recruiting trail. On Sunday, Jeff Lebby’s Mississippi State staff completed a flip of an in-state wide receiver that had been committed to Ole Miss.

Sanfrisco Magee announced his commitment to MSU on Sunday. Last week, he backed off his pledge to the Rebels by tweeting that his recruitment was 100% open.

Out of McComb, Mississippi, Magee is listed as measuring over 6-2 and 198 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Magee is rated 3-stars, the No. 25 player in the state of Mississippi, No. 115 wide receiver and No. 893 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

With Magge on board, the Bulldogs now have 15 verbal commitments in their 2024 high school class ahead of this month’s Early Signing Period. The class, which also has a transfer commitment, currently ranks No. 49 nationally on the Composite.

Magee had 48 catches for 1,229 yards and 17 total touchdowns in his senior season. MSU fans can get a preview of what he brings to Starkville by checking out highlights from that season, below, via Hudl:
