In-state recruiting is an important thing for any team to be good at in its respective state and the Missouri Tigers have had some success in just that as of late, most recently landing 2024 offensive tackle prospect Ryan Jones out of Washington (Mo.).

He announced his commitment via Twitter on Saturday afternoon.

According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 12 junior in Missouri and the No. 52 offensive tackle in the class. With the decision, the 6-foot-6, 290-pounder chooses the Tigers over the likes 17 other programs, including some big names like Colorado, Iowa State, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Purdue, Vanderbilt and more.

Jones is the second commitment Mizzou has landed for its 2024 recruiting class, now joining in-state tight end Whit Hafer. It will be interesting to watch how the Tigers build upon this on the recruiting trail for the months to come.
