This time last year, Quay Walker became one of the most hated players associated with the Georgia football program in many Tennessee fans’ eyes. Jamie Pettway Jr. attempted to become much the same on Wednesday, only this time, for Missouri.

If you can’t recall last year’s early signing period, Walker, a coveted linebacker prospect out of Georgia, was believed to be torn between the in-state Bulldogs and Tennessee. The Vol faithful were confident Walker would pick Tennessee, and he did, kinda.

Walker reached for and put on a Tennessee hat before whipping it off and revealing his commitment to Georgia.

On Wednesday, Jamie Pettway Jr. did the same thing as Georgia native did his best to fool those in attendance by selecting a Tennessee hat at first, only to toss it away for the Black and Gold of Mizzou.

This should spice things up a bit in the Missouri-Tennessee annual series.

You can watch a video of Pettway’s commitment ceremony below, where he trolled Vol Nation before making his real selection known.
