Even without Mitchell on the floor for the 2nd half, Mizzou’s offense was unstoppable in this game. The Tigers shot over 49% from the floor and generated an impressive 28 free throw attempts on the night.
Tamar Bates led all scorers with 25 points. He was also extremely efficient as he needed just 12 shots to get to that total. Tony Perkins also had a very strong night scoring the basketball as he poured in 20 points on just 10 field goal attempts.
With Mitchell out for the 2nd half, Aidan Shaw played a big role after halftime. He played 12 minutes, totaling 3 points, 4 rebounds and 1 block. That’s the most minutes Shaw has played in a game for Mizzou since Dec. 30.
Missouri basketball will face Florida in the quarterfinals on Friday night at 7 p.m. ET. The Game will be broadcast on SEC Network.
