Many project Ole Miss to have one of the most dynamic offenses in the SEC this season. With talent and depth on the offensive line and receiver that would make most team envious, combined with the massive potential of quarterback Shea Patterson, things are looking up for the Rebels on that side of the ball.

The main question mark for the unit centers around the running game, where the return of senior Jordan Wilkins is expected to provide a big spark. After missing last season following an academic mishap, Wilkins is expected to step into a starting role at running back for Ole Miss this season.

Causing a bit of panic Monday, his status was up in the air after leaving practice with an injury. Following the injury, interim coach Matt Luke could not give a clear indication of the significance of the injury.

“I saw he limped off,” Luke said Monday during his post-practice press conference. “I think he just landed wrong. I’ll check but I’m not sure. I’ll go check when we finish here.”
