Ole Miss lands commitment from 4-star QB, in-state prospect
Ole Miss made a huge addition in the class of 2024 on Saturday afternoon.
The Rebels earned a commitment from 4-star quarterback Anthony Maddox. The Mississippi native was committed to Texas A&M before backing off of that pledge earlier this week. Maddox was also considering Mississippi State.
He shared the news of his commitment with On3’s Hayes Fawcett:

Maddox is a massive addition for Ole Miss in this recruiting cycle. He’s the No. 427 overall player and the No. 28 quarterback in the country for this recruiting class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 13 player from the state of Mississippi and was one of the highest-rated uncommitted QB prospect in this class.
Maddox attends Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Miss. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 165 pounds.
Ole Miss has dealt with multiple quarterback decommits in this class. Most recently, it was 4-star quarterback Trever Jackson who backed off of his commitment to the Rebels back in October. The Rebels’ 2024 class currently ranks No. 19 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
