With the regular season wrapped up and the SEC Tournament starting this week, regular-season awards and honors are being handed out for the 2022-23 season.

On Tuesday, the AP announced the selections for All-SEC and the individual honors for the year. Despite a tumultuous season off the court, Alabama’s Brandon Miller was recognized as the league’s Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year as well as being recognized as a First-Team selection.

In terms of first-team recognition, Texas A&M guard Wade Taylor IV and Kentucky forward Oscar Tshiebwe were unanimous selections. Miller was a first-team pick on every ballot but one despite being just the 4th freshman in the last 50 years to lead the league in scoring.
